What Can You Say About These Incredible DIY Concrete Pillows. Check Here How To Make Them!
No, they’re not cushions, though they certainly look like it. These are concrete paving or decorating stones. And because they’re concrete, they can stay outdoors year-round.
Although you can buy already made models at Tuffits, it is more challenging to make your own.
Grab some old cushions, slap some petroleum jelly onto them and apply plaster of Paris (get it from craft or art supply shops) to create a mould. When set, remove the cushions and pour concrete into the moulds. For colourful pillows, add the desired coloured oxide to the concrete before pouring into the moulds.
You can also use an old pillow covers with different shapes. Fill the covers with concrete and close them firmly.
Then lay them in horizontal position and correct their shape. You can put something heavy in the middle of them (a bottle or a jar) to simulate the button so they can look better. Leave them to dry and harden for couple of hours. Remove the cover and use some sanding stone to remove the excess of concrete. At last, paint them with colours of your choice.
Happy crafting 🙂
